World famous stars and promising new comers alike gather in Bad Kissingen every winter, to turn the winter season into a festival of culture. Weather you like brilliant classical concerts, readings, Jazz performances, ballett, medieval- or contemporary music, Bad Kissingen is the place to come.

The Kissinger Winterzauber is marked by different series of events: „Music & literature“, “Matinée classique“, “Jazz after 8“, “Ancient music“, “Discovery concerts” and great symphonic concerts. Every winter, internationally renowned artists and orchestras come to Bad Kissingen to enthral their audience.

Known artists have been Ben Becker, Senta Berger, Gudrun Landgrebe or the philharmonic orchestras from Munich, Prague, Berlin or Vienna.

This year, the 11th Kissinger Winterzauber takes place from December 12th, 2009, until January 9th, 2010, with Artists like violinist Julian Rachlin, French countertenor Philippe Jaroussky, the Modigliani quartet, Spanish choreographer Cesc Gelabert, Helen Schneider, Marla Glen, and Norwegian trumpeter Ole Edvard Antonsen.

For the first time, the famous German actor Mario Adorf visits Bad Kissingen and he is going to read from Goethe’s “Italy Journey” on the 16th of December.
