The post coach and deer park
Since the summer of 1950 the yellow post coach has been drawn by four horses through the Saale valley to the magnificent castle in Aschach or the picturesque spa resort of Bad Bocklet.

Post coach

The coach trip traditionally begins at the post office. When you have left the town behind you, you will be taken through the beautiful surrounding countryside of Bad Kissingen, past meadows and woods on pretty country roads. The clacking of the horse shoes on the asphalt along with the coach driver and messenger in their traditional dress playing traditional tunes on their trumpets will give you the romantic feeling of living in the past. The coachmen will chivalrously help you out of the coach and you are free to roam until the coach sets off on its return journey.Deer park Klaushof

The deer park Klaushof – for children and adults alike

The game enclosure, situated in 30 hectares of woods and meadows, is the living space for many native animals, some of which are threatened by extinction. The generously spaced enclosures cater for large wild animals, some of them rare. Many of the animals are quite tame and will eat out of your hand. Children enjoy the farmyard enclosure, where they can stroke rabbits, guinea pigs, small goats, donkeys and sheep. A visit to the “Klaushof” is a lovely day out for families with children.

Always worth visiting

Kreuzberg – is sometimes named “the holy hill of Frankonia” and is always well worth visiting. It is not just famous for its monastery but also for its beer which is brewed within its walls. Take in the fantastic views from the beer garden or relax in one of the inner courtyards whilst enjoying a jug of delicious “Klosterbier”. It might also be a good idea to visit one of the many taverns that serve original Kreuzbergbier in Bad Kissingen.
