Luitpoldpark (Luitpold Park)

Luitpold Park an English landscape garden that measures 15 ha. With its stock of trees – some of which are truly exotic – and its romantic corners, it is the green heart of the town. People meet here to have picnics, play sports or simply to relax. They are drawn to the hammocks slung between the old trees as well as the numerous benches and reclining chairs. In spring, entire  fields of crocuses, tulips and daffodils blossom in the Luitpold Park. In summer, the wild rose promenade with more than 30 different types of roses is well worth seeing. The paths are illuminated until late in the evening and are ideal for running, walking and cycling. The popular Mediterranean Kneipp pools, he ‘Klanggarten’ (Sound Garden), the ‘Barfußlabyrinth’ (barefoot labyrinth), the ‘Fünf Kissinger’ fitness station and the ‘Pavillon der Religionen’ (Pavilion of Religions) can also be found here.
